Tobi's Take on NCP's Sustainability Journey

Episode 6: From VPN Myths to Green Truths

Hi, everyone!

Can you believe it's been nearly three years since our last adventure on "Tobi's Take"? Well, the wait is over, and I'm thrilled to dive back into sharing some fascinating stories with you all.

A lot has changed since we last chatted. I've gone from being a student trainee to rocking the role of Junior Marketing Manager at NCP. My day-to-day has shifted, too—I'm now stirring things up on the social media front and spearheading our internal sustainability squad.

Sustainability? It caught my eye from day one. It's amazing to see how crucial being eco-friendly and socially responsible has become in business. So, I'm moving on from debunking VPN myths to exploring the green side of things in our upcoming chats.

Expect a touch more seriousness (and a snazzier cover image to boot!), but fear not—I'll keep the jargon to a minimum and the fun at a maximum, sprinkling in those playful comments you've come to love.

So, where do we start? Let's kick off with what sustainability means for a tech-savvy company like NCP. And no, I won't bore you with dry definitions. Instead, I'm excited to share some insights from our sustainability think tank.

"Our goal is to make a difference, making sustainability a top priority for us. It's all about aligning our objectives to ensure a win-win-win for the planet, people, and our company," said our CEO, Patrick Oliver Graf, setting the tone for our sustainability journey

With those inspiring words, our sustainability group hit the ground running, united by the vision that sustainability is non-negotiable for a forward-thinking company like ours

Now, you might be wondering, "But you're a software company. What's sustainability got to do with you?" It's a valid question. At first glance, we're not the usual suspects when it comes to environmental impact. But a deeper dive by our team revealed that NCP has a significant role to play in shaping a sustainable future.

We've realized that it's not just about being green; it's also about embracing social responsibility and ethical governance, collectively known as ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). Ring any bells?

We're all in, committed to making strides in these areas. We've already laid the groundwork by embedding ESG principles into our sustainability strategy.

What's on the horizon? Stay tuned for the next episode of "Tobi's Take," where I'll unveil our new sustainability manifesto and delve into NCP's commitments to society and the environment.

Can't wait to have you join me again for this green journey!

Catch you later,

Tobi
